My dog loves to sit next to my pellet stove. She cant get warm enough.

The other day I smelled some burning hair and couldn't figure out what it was.

The end of her tail was touching the side of the P61 and smoldering away.

She didn't even feel it.

I had to move her away a bit.

Gotta keep an eye on her now. She loves the stove a little too much!

Time to get a fireplace screen before something more gets more scorched.

Did you have to use that crowbar to get her tail off??

Time to break out national lampoons Grizwolds family Cristmas.

I always tell customers animals are smart enough not to get burnt, but I am a cat owner.

Fortunately my Newf has no attraction to anything producing heat except the oven with turkey, the Golden lets me know if the house is below 65 by almost laying on top of me.

^ If only we could get them to climp up chimney pipe. I think kitties would make wonderful chimney sweeps. I only kid cause if my cats could go outside they would be the kind that would get stuck in a tree haha.

Didnt that stink? really Ive been around a dog that singed its tail on a wood stove, pretty foul smell.

Our dog lays outside when its -5 and wont come in, last thing I worry about is her getting to close to the stove.
