Yeah, last year had some MWP almost that long. This year their pellets are much smaller and smell better.

We've come across a few Liggies (green label) that can match that.

Some of my LeCretes are about 2 inches

A couple years ago I bought 2 tons of Corinth wood pellets. I routinely picked pellets out of the bag that were 1.5 to 2.5 inches long. I saved all the 2+ inch ones from the 2 tons and took a photo of them. I can't seem to find the photo now, but there was a pile of them!

Somebody posted some 2"+ pellets in Dry Creek super premiums a few weeks back.

Some of the Logi-e pellets look like that Dex.

Logic

Those are midgets. I found one in a bag of Penningtons that measured 3.75 inches long. I named it MOAP (Mother Of All Pellets). It's lying around here someplace, I'll try and find it and post a pic.

WOW _g holly chit that is almost big enough to sell without a bag!! I see a contest brewing...as a matter of fact ...with the moderators permission, I'm gonna start one for the fun of it. a silver dime for the biggest pellet. let me check. this could be fun ==c

I ran into some that big in bags of pennington natures heat from walmart.

I posted pic of some penningtons I got from wally world last year. Looked more like cheap library pencils. Bixby no waycould it digest em. Good for soaking up antifreeze etc in the garge. Only bought two bags thankfully.

Carolina Wood Pellets!!! Very light also.tn_IMGP0391.JPG

A bag of Pennywise pellets a couple years back looked like the ones in the pics Dexter posted. Still had my Eclipse stove at the time. PITA keeping it running with those pellets. I had to break the big ones as I saw them.

This years Barefoots. Once in a while I hear a snap from the auger. I break em up as I see em. Bags dated 04/12 FWIW.
Still burn hot!!!!

The Maine's Choice I burned earlier this year had some long pellets too.

That's what I like about Country Boy pellets, they are never longer than 11/2". You boys with
Harman stoves will get bridging from those pellets. I believe that the Pellet Institue states that
the pellets should be no longer than 11/2". I have misplaced my copy of the spec's. I will look it up on the net
Merry Christmas To All!

No more than a certain percentage of the pellets may exceed x length in order to be classified as premium by PFI.
"Less than 1% are longer than 1.5 inches"... but I don't know if that is 1% by pellet count or by weight.

edit: It's by weight
