I burnt them all last year with no problems.

That's not true. There are a good number of labels that list soy and/or vegetable oil on their bag. And out of the ones that do not list it, many of them are omitting it intentionally, because most if not all of them use it. (Some manufacturers use steam to condition and lubricate the die) There is no authority out there that is actively pursuing any manufacturers to ensure any "truth in labeling". (And please don't preach to me about the "hungry-for-dues-money" PFI.) If you do not lubricate the die, your pellets will come out looking like the bottom of a cereal box. So then, why would some manufacturers intentionally not list the soy/veg. oil on their label? Because when some people see something that looks different, they assume that there is a problem. And when they look for a problem, believe me, they will find one. The oil will not help or hurt the way that your pellets burn and it will not add or detract from the overall heat value. At 0.1%, there is merely 2 lbs. of oil in a ton, or approximately one quart by weight. And I would be willing to venture that the number is actually. significantly less than that even.

Most might use additives, but not all of us. Some of us, when we say 100% wood, we really mean 100% wood.
