Scored some Lignetics... and something "else".

Was driving home the "back way" from Pittsburgh tonight & I came across an Ace Hardware. Lignetics at 219 a ton, or 495 a bag. I don't have a big vehicle, but I picked up 10 bags. Score! Nobody local carries them.

Once unloaded, I went to town to the Home Depot & picked up 15 more bags of pellets. They're called "Premium Wood Pellet Fuel". Can't get much more generic for a name, hey?
They're out of Columbia MD
UPC code is 37461 54009
Anybody heard of these, or are familiar with the mill that makes them?

Do you have a photo of the bags and and the upc?
'Fraid not.
My digital camera is at work...
But the UPC code I list (above) is from the bags.
The bags look very generic. Just the "Premium Wood Pellet Fuel" in big letters.

The code you listed was missing a 0 from the front and a 7 from the end so it didn't work when I first entered it.
Should be 037461540097.

Can't comment on AWFs as I've never burned them, but I've heard them mentioned plenty of times around the forums.

Thanks very much for the research!
Hopefully someone has experience with them, and can tell me if it's worth picking up more (and more... and more!)

Weird... I just checked the UPC code. I entered what was on there. Strange that they have a different # of digits! Color me confused. _g

I Bought 4 ton from 83 Lumber in my area, they are distributed by AgriRecycle. I have burned about 4 bags and they seem to be burning well in the my Harman p68. I counldn't pass up the opportunity at $205 delivered. Granted we filled the truck up with 11 ton between 3 of us. I bought 3 ton of Barefoots LY at $265 a ton, Im not sure if I noticed much a difference. What I can say about the Premium wood pellet fuel brand is that there is very little fines in the bags and they seem to burn well and heat output is good. Not sure what the colder months will bring. Good Luck

Not the same pellets as in the OP. Your pellets are rebranded Ozark Hardwoods out of Missouri. AWFs are out of Maryland. There are multiple different companies that use the generic name "Premium Wood Pellets" as a brand name on their bags.

Picked up and burned a couple of bags of AWF from HD in Maryland they burned well with low ash however I feel that Lignetics seem to burn a little hotter with the same or less ash. So far this year I have burned about 10 bags of each.

I have 3 ton of AWF pellets in my stash. I burned them a few times over the years, decent pellet with decent heat. I have noticed that they have more fines in the bags than other brands I've used. I got an end of the season deal at a local HD this past Spring so I grabbed 3 ton.

Lignetics at that price are a great buy IMO. They are $300/ ton here! I bought a few bags to try and got great heat and about average ash content. If I could've paid $219/ ton I would've bought a ton or two.
