accentra insert will not shut off

Check the room temp probe connections. Could be a faulty probe. This the second of this issue in last two days.

Could be a bad pot switch. You have a three year warranty I believe on electrics. Do you have the stove connected to a surge suppresor? Harman does not repair boards.

Is the ignitor on manual?

When was the last time the esp probe was pulled and cleaned?

It should turn off even with the igniter switch turned to manual as well.

Yes when moved to the off position it should shut off no matter the other setting. Hmm, I'm thinking this may require a call to the dealer

Try search Harman ESP probe. There has been threads on checking.

Not to ask the obvious, as you've owned the stove for 3 years, but are you mistaking the "shutdown" time as not shutting off?

My guess is its a bad ESP. I just went through a very similar situation on a 5 day old stove. Went to shut it off about an hour before the dealer got here. It kept feeding pellets, which is occasionally required if the stove was cranking. It does this to ramp down the burnpot temp to eliminate burn back up into the auger tube. However, mine just kept feeding and feeding. I even scraped what was burning into the ash pan to speed the process, yet it still kept feeding, despite the fact it was coming off an idle burn. When the dealer showed up, he put the DDM on it and saw the ESP readings were all over the place. 211, 368, 183, 265, 426, etc. Ended up pulling the plug and replugging it in and it was fine. I put a fan blowing on the outside to speed the cool down. Anyway, 10 min later the ESP was replaced and all is well.

Mine is doing the same thing - it has for the last 2 years. Sometimes it will shut down when turned off, sometimes it takes hours to shut down, sometimes it won't shut down at all. I open the hopper cover to stop it from feeding and keep the blower running until the fire is out and it cools down. I'm interested in the fix but not a new control card worth.
