new EPA requirements

Unless I'm reading too much into it the " EPA has banned the production and sale of the types of stoves used by about 80 percent of those with such stoves." is saying that 80% of people who are using unapproved stoves can no long buy the same unapproved stoves thanks to this regulation. What about the other 20%? Those buying off craigslist? Looking at the list, don't seem like the new rule really made much difference in selection from previous years list. Only knocking off a few off brand. Article seems over exaggerated to me. My Englander is still on the approved list so I'm happy.

And yet my neighbors can smog up the whole neighborhood openly burning leaves every fall...

Right, EPA is tightening the emissions standards again. Big deal. The manufacturers need to pay attention and get their designers busy. Nobody's gonna come take my stoves away from me. Yawn.

Based on the approved list it seems like this is just reiterating the ban on Pre-EPA stoves/smoke dragons.

I remember when I was a kid Dad would burn big brush piles using old tires. Can't burn them legally anymore.

Well they are saying you can't use or sell the ones that didn't make it if I read it right.
Will be fines and what not.
I mean are they going to want to go in peoples houses to see what stove they have if the neighbors complain about smoke?
