I am contemplating installing a Buck Model 74 in my masonry fire place. The height of my opening is 23 3/4", about 1" over the minimum fire place height and about 2 1/4 " over the top of the stove.
Will there be a problem attaching the flexible flue liner?

Could be very tight, when I helped my friend install the Buck 80 or 81 (non-cat) I could not get to the top of the stove to attach the pipe from the front of the stove only from the side(imagine Gumby). It was painful but we got it done by pulling the pipe down from the inside and screwing in with the 3 screws.

BUT his was really low in the front or top of the stove, maybe 2" or less, for about 6-8" then angled up so working from the side worked.
