I've been to several different dealers looking at Pellet stoves and every time I go into the store they're running these italian looking (ravelli and piaazetta) stoves while trying to sell me other stoves.

I would think that the dealer would run the stoves (Harmon and lopi) that they are telling me is the best.

thoughts do you think they get paid to advertise/run certain stoves ?

That's a good thought. I would suspect that they are certainly pushing the ones with the highest profit margin.

Dealers don't get paid to run a stove, But some companies may give very aggressive burn credits to dealers to burn the stove making the stove close to free for the dealer

A good dealer will push/sell the stoves that they are comfortable with. It is no advantage for a dealer to sell/ push a stove that has problems because they are the ones that have to deal w/ a unhappy customer and warranty repairs. Warranty reimbursement barely covers time and fuel. It is much nicer dealing w/ happy customers even if profit is slightly less.
