This has been sitting there for a while, it really needs to be cut up. I think it'll take a while to do, but should make some good firewood. My daughter is 5'9" and standing on the tree.

Any guesses how much wood is sitting there? All three trees are about the same size.

Average tree that is 22" at four feet off the ground yealds one cord. All three of those look to be at least that. Looks like you have some work to do but it will be well worth the effort .

Nice forest edge trees - not too many branches to deal with, and easy access - you'll be surprised how fast it goes. Hour or two with the chainsaw, and the rest of the day hauling.

The way that looks to have fallen over, you might have a good size anthill and some mighty punky wood for a few feet at the base. My wild guess at the species, based only on the form, is red or silver maple.

Went out with the truck, splitter, two saws, kids and my brother to get the trees. Got distracted on the way and cut three other trees instead, filled the truck and called it good. Got a bit over a cord onto the truck so will have to go after these later.
