Hello im new to pellet stoves. I just installed a pelpro deluxe home heater 120. It vents out the wall and up the outside wall 3 feet and 90s into a cap. Today i tried to start it and it seems high winds were coming down into the stove and snuffing the fire out. All it did was smolder, light for a little and then smolder again. While i was watching it i would hear the wind and watch the flame deminish. So does anyone have any advice how to correct this problem. Seems it isnt the best spot for install buf was only spot. Is there any horizontal caps tthat prevent winds from snuffing out my fire?? thanks

Sometimes adding to the end of the exhaust pipe farther away from the house can help. Our Bixby had fits till extended another couple feet.

I have one of these and it solved the downdraft issue. Duravent High wind cap for around 15 bucks in 3"
