I thought I might try here first, before contacting Englander. Why? I think it's probably a lot more fun here! ;-)

I purchased a used Englander wood stove .... at least that's the manual I was given with it. It is certainly 'close', but even the manual says (effectively) 'yours might look different than this'. The manual references model 24-PVD. I haven't found any identifying labels or anything on it. I suspect the back cover is gone (if it had one), that may have had a label on it.

Here's a few things I know about it:
Does hold more than 1 bag of pellets in the hopper. Manual says 70lbs ... I'm inclined to believe it.
Has a vent fan on the left (looking at it from the front) side.
Has a heat circulation fan on the right ( looking at it from the front) side.
Has 5 'heat tubes' that are viewable from the front, above the door with glass in it.
Has 3 removable plates on the inside...
Wear plate:
flat metal, bent with holes drilled in it that goes in the burn pot
Impingement plate:
Large, fllat metal with a tab on the front for handle,
and bent tab on the back to cover the exhaust area (I think)
Small flat metal plate that hangs on a section to the left of the burn pot .. inspection or clean-out cover?
Single piece burn pot (save for the wear plate) ... has holes on the 3 non-auger sides
2 augers
Currently has an electronc control board .. was told this replaced an old 'analog' control board.
Board in it, though, has a sticker on it that says Auto Start Control Board PU-CB04
The unit doesn't have an ignitor system, so I suppose it's a more generic replacement board.
On the circuitry side it says England's Stove 2004 00003901-02
Dimensions:
Width: 28 1/2"
Depth: 28 3/4"
Height: 38 1/4"
Door: 14 1/4" Width x 14 1/2" Tall, with glass

Looks like a prototype / custom made stove --- Looks like the 25-PDVC / 25-PDV.

Also, the burn pot looks custom made too, the wear plate seems to be at a steeper angle. Below is the burn chamber for the 25-PDVC, the 25-PDV is almost the same.

Would love to hear what Mike at Englander Stove has to say about this stove.

yes ... the burn plate is a lot different! Mine appears to be hollow with air holes along the sides and front. The front is closed off square, but has a rectangular hole, that exposes the hollow inside... the wear plate has holes in it too, and sets over this hole.

I have no idea how old it is.

Interesting!

Well, I finally found the manufacturing plate/tag. It was on the exhaust side base, under the exhaust fan.
It's a 1996 Englander 25-PDVP, SN WHI-001191
I don't know what the difference is between the various model 25's, but '96 must be kind of an older one.

I wonder if the fans are close to spec .... I'll need a new gasket, now that I took the exhaust fan off. The room air fan, I used a cork head gasket blank to fashion a gasket. It had silicone for a gasket, but that's a pain to get off. I'll order a new one of those also, if it's a standard size.
Room fan - appears not original, due to mounting holes:

The above has the cover off the cooling fan of the motor ... the motor's specs are on it:
Owosso, MI? That's about 15 miles from my Mom's .. where I grew up! :)

The exhaust fan and assymbly actually looks pretty new .... so maybe the 6-hole motor gasket is 'standard'? (I just have 2 screws put back on to keep stuff out of the exhaust.

I couldn't get in close enough to get a decent photo, but the 2 auger main bearings have grease zirks on them .... is this normal? I haven't read of anyone mentioning them, here.

Thanks to all!

Hello

In 1997 and newer Englander models, the fire door handle swings down to close.

So that makes sense that since your stove , the fire door swings up, it was made in 1996. :)
