Feeling the Heat

My 4 y.o. daughter woke up from a nap this afternoon and wanted a snack. Once in hand, she asked if she could watch some TV. Having already had a good amount of TV, computer, tablet, phone, etc. today, I kindly said no. After a little pouting, I found her eating her snack in front of the pellet stove. Boy, did she pull a quick one on me. This is the kind of screen I don't mind.

Just as long as she doesn't think it is a touch screen.

If it was a multifuel she might ask "Where's the mouse?"

Fun to watch the flames ... just make sure she understands that it is very hot like the kitchen stove!

Our almost 3 year old has to go stand in front of ours as soon as he gets up. He has learned what lights mean it is shutting down and generally does not approve of it.

Do we watch TV because it reminds us of our ancestral fires?

How many people out there tune their TV to the "Yule Fire" at Christmas ... at least those that don't have pellet or wood stoves?
