Lots of Wintersport questions today so thought I would ask one. I see secondary burn on the rear secondary air tube but have yet to see any on the front. Am I doing something wrong? The secondaries are amazing to see on the rear one. It looks almost like a blow torch directly in front of the holes.

Have you checked to see if the front tube is oriented properly?

I guess I haven't paid close enough attention to mine. I'll have to check this weekend.

I don't have a jotul but I can tell you I get secondaries from all tubes or 1-2-3 from the five my insert got. I believe it all depends how much off gassing you are getting of your wood and where the smoke appears. I don't know if it's true but I think the closest tube burns it off.

Yes it is oriented correctly. Fits into the baffle projection that positions it. Well, I'm new to the the wood burning game so it will get better. Just curious. Let us know what you see this weekend. I've learned a lot reading this forum

I am getting some action out of the front tube.

Wow, I reckon you are. Thanks for taking the time to post that. I will try loading a little closer to the front. Been warm here all week so no opportunity to play with fire.
