New To Pellet Stoves Need Advice Summers Heat 25-PDVC

We have a pellet stove got from Lowes. The brand is Summers Heat 25-PDVC. We live in single wide moblie homeand sq foot is maybe a 1000. We had to do something because of our electric bill was running about 600 a month during the winter with electric heat. So we are using pellet stove as main source of heat. We are averaging about at least a bag a day of Somerset Pellets and it just isn't keep our home warm at all. We live in Eastern Kentucy Tonight it is really cold and don't seem to be doing anything at all to keep this place warm. Kerosene heater keeps our house 10 times warmer that Pellet Stove. Does all of this sound right?

Thank you for the info. We are plan on trying this tomorrow as hubby wants to make sure stove is completely cold. Should this stove put out more heat than a Kerosene heater does though? Honestly right now with the heat it is putting out it feels like a little space heater.
 
Yes that stove will put out more heat than a kerosene heater. Somersets are good pellets also. There are many people here with your exact stove heating bigger spaces so let them help you out and get it set up right. Where exactly are you in Eastern KY? I have seen this situation many times and after they get the settings right the stove heats well so relax and let these others that have your stove help out and get things straightened out.

Do what they say and follow their directions because they gave been there and done that already. You should be able to find a bunch of threads and info here to on your exact issue. Put it in the search bar and read up. The more you know about your stove the better you will be. Good Luck!

Thanks Bags, that made me feel a lot better to know that it should be heating our home more than a Kerosene heater does. We plan to listen to all the info they offer us because we are a total loss when it comes to knowing what to do.

We live in Wolfe County. I see you are also from KY. Where at?

I see a lot of this 6-4-1 "C" and it has been suggested so try to figure that out. Pretty sure you have to turn it on while holding two buttons for a few seconds but other than that I am useless in helping you with your stove I know nothing about.

Hubby is planning on doing it as soon as he gets in from work tomorrow. We will try anything at this point. I am not joking when I say it is put out heat like a space heater. I believe my office heater is warmed than this stove is.
 
This stove will heat 1000sqft in 'd' mode with the 3 lower buttons set to 6-4-1 from left to right with the right pellets.

Empty the hopper of all it's pellets, in the bottom there is a restrictor plate, make sure it's at least 50% open (screw in the middle of the slot). If the stove is starved of fuel it will not produce the heat that it is capable of doing.

The higher the heat setting the more fuel the stove will burn to produce heat, the higher the room blower setting the more hot air is forced from the stove, but there is a limit on this, too high on the room air blower and you cool the stove off too much and reduce the heat output, to compensate for this, raise the heat up one or two settings.

Most can heat with this stove on 4 - 6 heat range setting and 5 - 8 blower setting with the lower buttons set as above.

When it gets cold (like tonight) up the heat setting to max for a few hours then back it down one or two. This stove acts well as a radiant heater too when hot, a bit like a wood stove due to it's thick steel shell.
 
Okay I couldn't wait for hubby so went through the steps that you sent. After pressing 3 bottom buttons F5 come up for a few seconds and then 1 and 1 on each display. Then went blank. Is that what it should do?

Then did step to put in C mode and got it to go in to C. I repeated steps above and was back in A both times I checked it. I realized the steps above could actually be putting it back into factory reset mode all over again. Is that correct?

So I started over and got in C mode again and then unplug for 5 sec and checked it again by pressing blower buttons together and is showing me C mode.

So does it sound like I got it in the right mode?

Also everytime time I check the mode now it shows me C then the display shows me 1 and 1 again and then goes blank.

It will take about 2 - 4 hours to raise the temp to 70 + for 1000sqft, and that's if the area is insulated.

Will update status of stove this evening. Say a prayer that it gets so hot it runs us out of the house. I am so tired of the big electric bills and freezing on top of that.
