Help! My pellet stove has been squeaking for twelve straight hours. I have cleaned the stove top to bottom, wiggled the auger (from the front of the burn pot) with a screwdriver. I have increased the feed rate to five on the dial. It seems to go one minute squeak, one minute quiet, so I'm convinced it's the auger. The auger housing is enclosed. Any thoughts on puffing some dry graphite powder into the chamber?

Couple others have found relief by feeding the graphite with the pellets thru the hopper.
Was another stove manufactures suggestion to do regularly to lube a long feed tube.
Welcome

Yes.

I get the stuff by a large bottle at farm stores. Very cheap. Used for seed coating to help slip from hoppers on seeders.

Check the end of your auger tube and auger. Sometimes just a tiny bit of buildup in just the right place can cause that.

Thanks, everyone. All of the stores had closed last night due to the blizzard we're experiencing in New Hampshire today. I had to try something, so cleaned the stove another time and hit every nook and cranny with the vacuum. I then took about one cup of pellets and coated it in automotive motor oil, then fed it through the auger using the test cycle. Once that ran through, I cleaned everything out again and wiped out any oil remaining in the hopper. I filled the hopper back up with fresh (clean) pellets and let it rip. It works like a dream! Quiet as it used to be!

Hope you also cleaned out the fines box. Oil will attract more dust and in the right circumstances will-could raise far more bigger problems.
