Heard about that this am. I think I would remember taking a hit from an RPG as opposed to following the helo hit.

article states he was 30-60 minutes behind the copter that was hit? great memory, eye sight,covered ear hearing? this guy writes and reads reads the news nightly?
 
Sounds like someone who wanted to tell the folks back home (and his bosses) about the "danger" he was in . . . when he wasn't really involved at all . . . other than "surviving" a sand storm.

I hate BS-ers like this . . . reminds me of my brother . . . and former fire chief . . . both of whom loved to tell stories. Best one from my brother was him telling an on line "friend" that he was the owner of a large dairy farm . . . which worked until she checked out his address via Google maps and discovered that his large dairy farm consisted of a single small shed for his 15 or so sheep.

being reported he left the area and was not holed up in storm for 3 days. actually in Bagdad Hilton? sorry no links if that is wrong I apologize.
6pm edit. DUH, BAGDAD WOULDN'T WORK. should have been Kuwait City or Saudi Arabia? where they stayed.

"Journalists" annoy the heck outta me. its not common any more to have someone just "report" the news, seems the talking heads on the news shows (even the supposedly "hard news" shows) tend to not only tell you the "news" they tell it in a way slanted by opinion.

im a big boy now, just give me the raw news and let me form my own opinion

There is no excuse for a reporter to lie. However, they all don't report the news, they simple whore for ratings.

It stopped being about the news a long time ago on all the major networks.
 
"apparent to me that I am to much part of the news". should have read futher, leaving for a few days?
