Welcome to the forum ... most people, when they say that really don't mean it Would need a good idea of the space that the insert must fit into as that may rule out some stove inserts. Masonry fireplace it will be going into?

Well I don't have a pellet stove but I think most here feel Harman is the best. I say if money is no object just dial up your regular furnace and pay the LP man.

If money were no object, I'd go to Europe and bring back an Austroflamm, plus a kit of spares for it (bearings and such; although you won't have to fix anything for 8-10 years). I had one for 15 years and it never gave a lick of trouble. Even running at 3/4 of full it was so quiet that you could hear the pellets dropping in it. Heated a 2200 square foot house easily and reliably, would run you out if you had it on full blast even in the dead of winter. Would burn anything I ran through it for pellets. A seasonal cleaning took about one and a half to two hours, and we used the stove pretty much full-time between end of September through April.

I would get a free standing one and keep the wood insert, may even save you some money! Why not have two for one? Happy with my Harman, but many options out there.

I would buy either a Quadrafire Mt Vernon AE insert because of the autoclean feature, or a Harman Accentra. Good luck with your decision. Go see both, and above all, consider how you will maintain it. All pellet stoves require a brief cleanout about once/week, a more thorough one about once/month, and a very thorough cleaning about 1-3 times per year (depends on amount burned and pellet quality). Personally, I would avoid anything that requires you open the stove and stir the firepot every day or so, which is why I like the autoclean feature of the MVAE.

I'd go with the Harman Accentra Insert. I have owned two of them. You cant go wrong with this purchase.

a used and refurbished Harman Accentra 2010- 2012. The Enviro M55 insert in undergoing some changes, let's see if they can figure out the issues with the improvements, thats an insert that really speaks to me and offeres everything I would want in an insert but has been plagued with QC problems the last year or so.

Buy a $200 used Whitfield, 18 yr's with mine and only had replaced the auger mtr and combustion blower due to thinking there going soon, you want to live wealthy, dont spend money......people think there saving money burning pellet's?, but your blowing it buying something else.

If money were no object, Id move to a tropical location.
