I have a napoleon nps40 and the convection blower is wore out. I want to replace the motor. just the motor
I don't need to buy the whole unit. I can't find just the electric motor.. anyone have a resource or info on the electric motor ??

Well, a long shot would be DigiKey. Primarily an electronics component outlet, they might have motors as well..

this is strange. I got a reply that came to my email but I can't view it here ? anyway.. I've had the motor removed from the housing many times, I've disassemble the motor and cleaned it, lubed it and it's just plain old tired..

I guess I'll ask.... Have you also had the fan blades off? On a lot of stoves they are difficult to get off without destroying so you may need the assembly if you haven't had them off yet.

I entered a long dissertation on the exact same subject yesterday and then deleted it. It's the room air blower (convection air), not the Combustion air (draft) blower. If it was the draft blower, might as well get a new one. The old fan isn't coming off the motor shaft and if it does come of, it probably will be junk.

ya it's the room air fan , and it comes apart no problem.. but I can only find a replacement offered as a assembly
which is BS welcome to america

if I had a part number I could order one. but Napoleon doesn't list "just" the motor .. I'll repost when I get it out of the stove one last time after the heating season. for now it's cleaned and relubed up and running.. I'm just getting tried of taking it out every couple of week it's a PITA

I looked at the Mountain View web site for your Napoleon NPS40 stove and they list the complete blower assembly for $200.00. The close ups indicate the blower has a Fasco motor. From the information on the label on the motor you might be able to determine which motor you need from the Fasco web site. You have to download the product guide (pdf). I believe there are several depending on what you are looking for.

Granger also has a page dedicated to Fasco motors and blowers.

Good luck

It's not BS, it's capitalism.....

On my Quad convection motor you are not going to get the squirrel cages off without ruining them. I guess I based my question on what I've seen with both my Quad and Invicible insert, not the OP stove. Also many different ability grades to.

had to take out again today so I snapped a few pictures I don't know about any other stove but this comes apart .. I need the motor. I'll post it when i find it. I'm gonna check out fasco

Could be a Fasco, certainly not a fiasco.

I goggled up 'Fasco Motors' and got about a hundred hits. You do have a search on your computer???

What is the diameter of the motor case and the length (in inches).
