Just ordered 4 tons of Hamer hot ones to he delivered next friday. Paid $264 per ton and free delivery! Only issue is that they raise the flat bed and slide the pallets off in the driveway, so I'm in need of a pallet jack to roll them in place. Glad to be all stocked up for next winter. Will continue to monitor prices to see if I should have waited to buy.

They have been doing this for a long time so I imagine they have it down pat. If they screw anything up I'll be sure to get replacements.

All tucked away in the basement..
waiting on ton of Lecretes and Lignetics this summer.

How much did you pay? lignetics were $265 a ton here but we liked the hamers better, seemed a little hotter and less fines/ash. Paid $249 last year and $80 delivery so I feel like I made out ok this year.

264.00 for the Lignetics.
270.00 for the Energex goldens.
309.00 for the Lacretes.

picked up the Energex myself which we're 1/2 mile away..
the other 2 tons are 35.00 for 1st ton/15.00 each ton after so 50.00 delivery.
35 miles away.

I ordered 6 tons of VWP last week. $260 a ton but I have to pick them up. Guess I'll put the new GMC truck t work.

Hauled home 3 tons of Blazers about a month ago.

I cant imagine that method of delivery is going to work very well...sliding off 4 tons. wow... good luck!

That's how my pellet supplier, Steve Barker at SIB Pellet Warehouse does it as well, and he has it completely 'dialed'. He power tilts his multi-ton capacity goose-neck trailer deck and rolls off 1 pallet at a time of my 4 ton order with his pallet jack.

And in his customary top shelf attention to customer service, Steve rolls them into my concrete floored barn garage where ever I want them put, and where they are protected and under-cover for the winter. So I only have to handle them once before they're happily burning in my stove.

mr47930, if you are home when your delivery guy unloads them with his pallet jack, would he be willing to roll them to where you want to have them stored ? I would think that an offer of an appropriate gratuity might help make that worth his time, if not his customer service good-will.

Pallet jacks are nice to have around anyway. Should be able to find a decent used one the Craigslist or similar route. I went looking a couple years ago and came home with 4 of them for $300.

I should be able to borrow a pallet jack from a family member, but will keep an eye out for one for future use. Going to stack almost 5 tons on 3 pallets, back will be sore next weekend.

I'm told I'm certainly on the "pre-order contact list" at the Ace in Edgewater (kinda So MD) but haven't been contacted yet. I'm ready for a couple of tons of Hamers. I have no expectations of an easy driveway-to-basement transit, I expect the delivery to be much as you describe.

For free delivery I cant complain. Ive got a line on a pallet jack to borrow so I should be able to easily roll the pallets in place. I only burned 20 bags of Hammers last year but could immediately tell the difference in higher heat output and lower ash than the lignetics. Our driveway is on about a 5 degree incline, not much but pulling 2000 lbs up even the slightest of inclines should be a good leg workout.

I bought 2.4 tons of spruce pointe or lacretes and 2 tons of blazers. Got them for about $305 a ton delivered. They arrive on thursday.

It's nice to be ready for winter and it's not even June yet! I will never be in a situation where I'm running low on pellets in January when they're $9 a bag. I'd really like to find some of these blazers everyone keeps talking about.

I bought Blazers for the first time this year but I wont start burning them until fall of 2016 since I still have an entire season's worth of Okanagan DF sitting downstairs.

you will Love the Blazers...and wonder where the Ash went...

Five tons Wood Pellet Inc. ordered and awaiting delivery (june 26th). These worked well for me last year and @220 a ton I'm good to go for the winter.
They name of the pellets is "wood pellet inc"? they should look into hiring a marketing person.

Just about everything but "marketing" will burn in my 52i. I could care less about the "name" I burned 41/2 tons last year and didn't have any issues. Why spend more for a marketing company?
Well I would assume the company selling the pellets isnt doing so for shits and giggles. Would be like an auto manufacturer calling their product "medium sized car"

At least there is no doubt as to what they deal with. I have seen plenty of catchy names that I couldn't tell what they sold, and couldn't be bothered to stop and see. Also, I'll bet they come up as #1 or #2 on a Google search for wood pellets when that search is done by a person in southeastern PA.
