Good day
I am so confused with this stove. It should heat 2200 square feet but I cannot get it to throw enough heat.
Can someone help me understand the buttons? How they work? What they are used for?

Heat Range - I have this set on 9 (Because I am thinking, the highest number will throw out the most heat)
Blower Speed - I also have this set on 9 (Again because I am thinking, that if the blower is set to 9 it will blow out faster and hotter) But I only feel the hot air if I am within 4 feet of the stove).

Low Fuel Feed - What should it be set on for me to get the most heat out of my stove? how does this work? What is the button for?
Low Burn Air - What should this be set on for me to get the most heat out of my stove? how does this work? What is the button for?
Air on Temp - What should this be set on for me to get the most heat out of my stove? how does this work? What is the button for?

Again does anyone know how I can turn down the "blower speed"? I set it to nine in the initial dry run set-up and for some reason I cannot get it to turn down now. Is there a certain sequence I have to go through?

Finally, I am burning a lot of pellets, 40 lbs bag in about 6 hours. Is that because I have my heat range and blower speed up on nine?
I don't mind burning the pellets if the stove would warm the house, but I am not getting go heat from it at all and it is soon going to get really cold where I live.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

Setting the heat on 9 will only burn more pellets than you need to. You need to figure out what heat/blower setting works right for your home.

Turning the blower speed up to 9 will force more air, BUT, You will only get so much heat that is being produced by the metal walls of the fire box (where the flame is). The fan blows over the walls to force the heat away from the stove. This is what produces your heat that you feel away from the stove. The fan is not blowing in the fire.

Your house will not automatically heat up to the desired temp with a pellet stove. Wood heat is a different type of heat than other types, propane, natural gas, electric.

I have a Timber Ridge 55-TRP10. My house is 1000 sq ft. My heat setting is on 1, and blower on 3. It took me a few times to get it right where I wanted my heat at.

As for the low feed buttons I can not help you. I have those on mine as well and have not researched it.

I know mine can be hooked to a thermostat just like a furnace for the blower to cut on and off to regulate the temp in the house.

40lbs in 6 hours??? HOLY CRAPLOAD OF PELLETS BATMAN. I might go through 40lbs in 12 hours but only on the absolute coldest days in the dead of winter. My winter long average is only 40lbs in 24hrs.

Thanks for getting back to me on the heat and blower range. It helped.

Question: How do I turn down the heat and blower speed? I can't seem to figure the bugger out.

I know I am burning way to many pellets in 6 hours and I am getting no more the 20 degree's of heat in 1100 square feet...

I have my Englander PDV 25 set at 1 for heat index and 9 for blower speed. The bottom three buttons are set as follows: 4/6/1. You can play with the 1st two bottom numbers going up or down slowly by 1 number and letting your stove calibrate for about 20 minutes before changing them again. The last of the bottom 3 buttons should always be at 1. I will tell you that if your house is anything like mine the stove will heat about 3/4 of it but the rooms on the opposite end of the house (the bedrooms of course) don't heat up nearly as well since the stove blower just can't propel the heat the entire length of the house...even with a couple corner circulation fans. Last year I took a remote thermometer and put in our bedrooms...the thermostat in the living room read 70 degrees, the thermometer in the bedroom read 57 degrees and this was done in the dead of winter. I will also tell you this, how well insulated your house is makes a HUGE difference in how well your stove will heat your house. My house definitely needs more insulation and the #1 place to start with insulation is your attic...heat rises so if your attic spaced isn't well insulated (like mine unfortunately) then a lot of your heat is just rising through your roof and escaping, if you have like 12"+ of insulation in your attic you'll notice your house will stay warmer much longer. Also seal all of those windows (especially if your house has older windows) with that plastic film...it works, trust me. Make sure there are no drafts around your doors either, if there are seal them up with weather stripping. After that your house should be staying warm. I know when it gets really cold in like January and February that I am averaging 1 bag of pellets every 12 hours (basically 1 bag in the morning before going to work and 1 bag at night before going to bed). Hope this helps :).

Englander stoves also have another setting (a,b,c,d) in hat isn't really discussed in the manual. Hopefully Mike from esw chimes in or you can call.

If you have both the heat and blower set to 9, the stove won't let you turn the blower down any. You need to turn the heat down before you can turn the blower speed down.
