Recent thoughts on the Lennox Country Stove -- the Winslow

I have had mine for two years now, I fill it / clean it and enjoy it. I generally get about a half a ton though it before needing to or at least wanting to empty the ash pan. I open it once a week to wipe the glass sometimes it doesn't need it but it gets done anyway. If your thinking of mixing corn in it the igniter isn't one of the better designed ones for that purpose, stick to something like the Magnum Country side I have for my main heat and burning corn. I put the Winslow in to supplement an area that wouldn't heat well and have it on a thermostat so it cycles on and off when needed. A nice feature is it will run on low for an hour after brining the room up to temperature before shutting down. This lets the room soak more heat and doesn't run as often as the Quadrafire that I had in there for the same reason, I sold the Quad to get this one and I feel the Winslow does a much better job. It's also extremely quiet you may never know it's running at night while sleeping.
