I stumbled across some free wood (pictures below). Wondering if anyone could help me ID it? The first two pictures are one kind and the second two pictures another. Thanks for the help!

#1 - black locust.
#2 - ash with some staining, although it could be hickory. Need closer end grain and clearer bark pic for 100%.
 
Definitely Locust for the first. Yeah, not so sure on the second. Bark doesn't look like hickory to me.
 
Second might be maple
