So when I started the season my wife thought we had plenty of wood. I really wanted to build another rack and she said no. She didn't want it taking up space in the back yard. I figured I would just see how the season went and re evaluate in spring. But as most of us know our women like the house warm. My wife asks me to add more wood quite often. Lately I have had to remind her that we only have so much wood left in this years rack. The other day she says it would be nice to have more wood next year so we dont have to worry about being short. I say I could build that additional wood rack we talked about. She says yes we should do that. If that is what you want my dear

Yep..... Happens All The Time :)! She will be happier and happier each year. Glad that you are getting more wood!

What a great idea your wife had to get more wood, our wives are so smart aren't they ;)

How will she react to building 5 more racks...so you have enough room for 3 year CSS dry wood? ==c

My wife is like a cat. I bug her all the time that she just married me to stay warm. Lol.

I'm gonna leave this one alone :p

Whoopsie ;)

when we started out the season and had our whole view covered by the wood wall, my wife figured that would last us the whole season. Now its the middle of january, and we have quite a few more months of burning, and our wood wall is pretty much down to about 2 weeks worth of wood. i need to do some re-stacking anyway, since i have just been splitting and tossing in a pile for some of the more recent stuff... i have a few ugly piles that i need to pull out and move (about 1.5 cord), and that should get us through the majority of the season. Then i can restack the newer stuff and get the order back in place...

the other day my wife suggested building a big garage, with a wood shed attached to the side :)

Well this 3rd rack should get me close. It will hold 1.5 cord and that is about all I burn in a winter.
