I looked at them and they just look like presto logs in a brick form. I’m not sure why they would burn differently. Maybe they can be packed in tighter and this restricts the airflow better.

That's exactly correct. I too was nervous at first and concerned about a runaway fire. But if one follows their instructions, they burn as advertised. The secret is stacking them so that air can't go easily between the bricks. Then they burn slowly as a mass and work pretty well.

Thanks for the tip about the Atlas bricks, I'll watch out for them.

I'm assuming that your local distributor Home Heating Headquarters in Johnstown? I purchased two pallets of EnviBlocks from them back this summer at a very reasonable price (buying early is a great idea, if you have the space to store them.)

I also have heard that Hulburt Brothers in Plattsburgh is selling BioBricks, but that's probably too far for you.

If they are out, then I would go to the manufacturer's Web site and e-mail them and ask them where their nearest distributors (note the plural use of that noun) are to your location.

I heard that there was an EnviBlocks dealer somewhere over in Rensselaer County, in Schaghticoke, but haven't been able to confirm that just yet.

Just had a pallet delivered Thursday. Yep, got them from the Johnstown dealer. They just got a load in.

Pricing wasnt bad at all, plus they deliver.

I'd like to give them a try. Anyone know of a dealer of BioBricks, Envi Logs or similar in southern NJ, southeast PA or northern DE? I'm having trouble locating any. Thanks.
