Got my leyden firewall exchanged today<finally> . Lopi is exchanging all Lopi brick firewall that have cracked or broke during guarantee with cast iron. Really looks great & should last longer than the stove. Muss

Congratulations!

It's always nice to hear about the manufacturers and dealers coming through for the end users.

Good for you Muss. My dealer also replaced my broken Lopi brick firebacks this year with the cast iron ones. They do look good but retain the heat longer when you shut it down for cleaning. Watch your digits.

The dealer told me that Travis will replace them, but they don't cover the shipping? Did you guys have to pay shipping?
Thanks, Mike -

I didn't pay any shipping.

Also, the red cast ones don't stay red very long. Mine look tan again from the ash & heat, even after I wipe them down. these panels are great and won't break. And yes, they get much hotter than the brick ones.

Did you work through the dealer or Travis directly?
Thanks, Mike -

You shouldn't be charged for shipping if your still under guarantee which is a couple years on the walls . Bad dealer if he pulls that chit Muss
