After all the trouble they have caused, they deserve to be flogged. I know there are some on the forum that get sick of hearing it because their problems with Maine Woods were minor or less and some of those sick of hearing it never burned Maine Woods pellets and would rather talk about fine tuning the stoves but the people that come here to learn about pellets to avoid need to know what they are getting into.

Also, if Maine Woods really wanted to be a stand up company, they would have refunded peoples money instead of making them trade the bad pellets for pellets that were not much better. In my case, I have better luck with the original batch vs the batch from December and the batch from January. While it is true that some people will have good luck with the Maine Woods pellets (witness my co-worker) some people will have trouble. If you haven't burned Maine Woods pellets yet, do you want to buy 4 tons and take a chance with $1000.00? Do you want to be in the group that have a bad experience.

You can find negative posts against almost all the brands out there but no one, not even Penningtons, has gotten the bad press that Maine Woods have. We are winding the heating season down and it will be time to think about buying for next year. How many of you are going to call Maine Woods for your 2009 - 2010 pellets. Not me!

I would like to try a few bags, would have to be less than $5 a bag.
