Ugh...Dented Chimney

This section of pipe has either became heavier in the last year or I've gotten older. As such about 6 feet from the ground it got away from me and landed on my grill. I realize the short easy answer is to replace it, but in this day and age of economization I would like to avoid that. It is about a foot from the top of a 16' run. It didn't warble the inside too much so I don't expect any performance issues. Any thoughts? Thanks,

For sure I wouldn't worry about it personally. As long as those dent's on the inside arent a breach thru to the insulation. I would just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesnt split there

Same here.....replace it when you can afford it. As long as there isn't any split in the metal you're safe.

I would just make sure and put that dent on the outside facing away from anything just in case it does got hot, I know you really want to face that dent towards the house so no one sees it but if your going to replace it later I would be safe with it.

if it is completely out side of the house and @3 feet from anything I would just use it as long as it still connects properly, don't want it coming undone by itself
