burned 10 bags since Sept. 30. all have been Dry Creek.

9 bags Greene Team.

Only burned 18 bags so far.
A mix of Inferno, Green Team, LGs, Ambiance & Comfort.

Saving the Okanagans, Lignetics, & Barefoot for the colder weather to get better
comparison results against my favorite Green Supremes.

13 Bags of Eagle Valley so far...burning really hot.
Having a hard time keeping the house temp under 70 degrees with them. Alot of tinkering with the stove settings. Right now the feed rate is set @ 2 and running room temp @ 65 degrees. Very happy with this years lot of Eagle Valley Pellets.....very low ash.

I have burned 2 bags each of the following. ;-)

1.) Rocky Mountains (done)

2.) Fireside Ultra’s (done)

3.) Prest O Logs (done)

4.) Inferno (done) Yuk!

5) Bayou (done)

6.) Penningtons Nature’s Heat (done)

7.) Marth (done) Not bad!

8.) Michigans (done)

9.) Instant Heat (done)

10.) Lignetics hardwood (done) Good heat, A little to much ash.

11.) Tidy Timbers

12.) Maine Choice are next.

So I am at 22 bags so far.

INFERNOS?????? AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH :ahhh:

Those could have been used in the old Soviet Union for torture.....

"you will tell us what we want to know, or else we'll make you burn Infernos in your puny pellet stove in outer Siberia......THEN, you will know what massive fines and COLD is!!!!!"

2 Bags - Somersets (dis-like)
2 Bags - Marth (not bad for the price)
2 Bags - Presto-Logs (OK)
8 bags of Barfoots (very good)

My Hamers (excellent) are waiting in the wings until i go through my last ton of Barefoots.

2 bags of Newp--ok

2 bags of LG--ok

Ain't none of 'em great by anybody else's standards, but they're good enuff fer me.

5 bags each of Corinth and Okanagan. Just bought a ton of Okies to get me started on the rest of the season.

Have not burn Hammers, But put it this way after burning one bag of Dragon I'm going to buy a couple of tons.
Unless I like the Legnetics better, But I doubt it...

40 bags of armstrong. These burn really good when the stove is near high but blackens up the brick when run on lower settings. This is with the air set so the pellets barely stay in the burn pot.

they burn hot though and have little ash.

269 a ton at aroostook milling Houlton

Is the mill up and running again????? That would be great news.

7 bags of Lignetics real good

I have a couple of bags of Dragon Mt and will burn them when it get's colder. I know there was a thread indicating that the Dragon Mountain were Green Supreme. I burned a couple of bags of Green Supreme last year and remember that I loved em! In fact had I known they were back under the name Dragon, I would have probably purchased them over the Ligs.

Fish on, let me know your conclusion between the Ligs and Dragon.

I had about 3/4 ton of NEWP hardwood left from last season. I guess I've burned in the neighborhood of 25 bags since Oct 15; I have 10 bags left. I haven't kept a close count. I took delivery of 3 pallets of Okanagans this past weekend. I'm going to use up the NEWP first before I start on the Okies. By Thanksgiving or so I should be on to the Okies.

Two bags of Green Team left over from last year.....Actually not bad.

Three bags Lignetics....Great heat, low ash and clean window.

Will be picking up a pallet of Oakies this weekend.

Chandler

5 bags of barefoot left over from last seasons ton (hot)
3 bags of potomic (ok heat but dirty)
2 bags of piney woods (suck!)
2 bags of lignetics (clean, hot but lots of ash)
3 bags of hardwood heat from TSC i'm not sure who is bagging these for tsc but they are the bast i have burned so far very low ash really hot and clean

i've been testing the local supply before i buy bulk so i'm not stuck with junk. i'm tossed between the ligs and the hardwood heat, the hardwood heat are great but tsc doesn't keep them inside and the local ace that has the ligs keeps them indoors.

I'm not skilled at navigating forums, I just joined this one.

I notice that zackdog has same stove I do, ( I think), a Tempest I bought new in 95, has been going great. Mine had the feature of keeping a 12 volt car battery connected, the stove kept the batt charged, and it instantly transferred to the batt on power outage. It ran well over 30 hours on the longest outage I recall having here in the Rye area.
Unfortunately, the auger motor shaft just broke and I'm hoping someone knows where to get replacement. The company is long gone.

31- Bayou (came free with stove)
3- Okanagans
3 Spruce Pointe
1- Fireside ultras

No oil so far. 2 story Englander about 2200 square feet (not counting 3rd story uninsilated closed off).

Really liked the Okanagans and Spruce Pointe. 1st season so not too much to compare to.

The armstorng pellets are out of Western Canada. I don't think the Ashland plant is up yet. I burned them for the last couple of years and liked them ok.

It is funny though that the armstrong pellets are shipped across the U.S. by rail and are the same price as the cornith.

I have 2 tons of cornith too.
