That shirt made it's way into your house because even one of the NYY shirts are better "cleaning-up" the glass than the minor league Boston Red Sucks one.....can you say "27 World Series Championships"???
Oh, that's right......you can't........"better luck next century"
MacMan - upon further inspection the shirt has a #42 on it... no wonder why I'm using it ...only the best "clean-up shirt" one could soil. I'm sorry for the Yankee bashing but my Grandpa who is long gone before tasting just one of our few vics took me to my first game at Old Yankee Stadium for a game between the Sox and the Evil Empire and brainwashed me forever into a Yankee Hater. Sorry
...thanks for the suggestion smalltown for the Windex Glass Wipes.....I'm always willing to give new things a try....these work great! ... i could clean mine with only 2 sheets..... cc ;-)
I found that Rutland works without any effort. It loosens the brown from the glass with a little on a damp/wet paper towel. ( I first wipe off the excess with a damp paper towel and fold it to clean it with a clean area on the towel for the Rutland.) A dry paper towel finishes the job. My in-between
cleanings of the glass are with an old towel or cloth.
If done daily a wet sponge with multiple passes using a clean edge of the sponge each time. If I get behind and the glass has baked on residue I shut the stove off and use Greased Lightening with a bristled brush followed by glass cleaner. The daily deal can be done while the stove is running and you have to do it in under 30 sec or the stove will shut down. Reminds me, I better clean it now....
What happened to the guy with the Bob Ross Avitar? He had a funny response to this. One of the funniest threads I ever read. Quickly sent to the ash tray though.
I use a Loveless Ash Cheetah vacuum here. Use the brush attachment on the glass and I really don't need to do more. I do keep some Windex and newspaper nearby tho if I want it REALLY clean.
"Paper towel/rag & glass cleaner" does it for me most of the time. However, yesterday, I had a spot of stubborn brown creosote that didn't want to come off.
I used one of those green synthetic kitchen scouring pads (forget the brand) and rubbed very, very lightly. It was enough to loosen the brown stuff and then it came right off
with the wet paper towel.
