As we get ready to move ahead with our install I am curious what you pay for having your chimney cleaned? In our previous home I did the cleaning myself and will likely do the same again. It would be interesting to know what I am saving myself on average. In our area there is a market for this work but the one individual who was doing a solid business has taken a break from it due to an injury.

I was charged $150 per chimney.

$125 in western MA

$75 round here

$85 and up here for a sweep and cert. of inspection.

$260 last week. (Wooo Haaa!)

Shari

Shari's price of $260.00 seems awfully high compared to the rest of the quotes. I was going to say that if the price was between $75.00 and $100.00, (per chimney) I'd consider that reasonable. How many Chimney's did you have done, Shari???
