I'm looking to extend my chimney about 3' and want it to look good, duh. Here's what I'm dealing with, about a 12' granite chimney.
I guess I would prefer not to add to the whole area of the chimney, maybe step it in. I've been looking for examples online but cannot really find anything comparable to what I have. I guess I'm just looking for ideas.
Some of my ideas are:
1. Get an extend a flue. Fastest solution but I don't think that a tall thin flue extender would look good at all.
2. Remove cap, step the chimney in (about a foot all around) by adding cement block and extending it three feet. The chimney is about 3'x6'. Cover block in the best granite block substitute I can find.
Any other ideas are welcome.
