I figured there would be a few that would appreciate seeing a picture of this classic stove.

We took it in last week to do some repair. We patched a crack on the back wall, replaced the failing brick holders with new stainless steel ones, and re-bricked the stove. A little paint and the customer has a nearly new, 30 year old stove. He purchased it brand new about 30 years ago.

Hope you enjoy.

thats beautiful and I bet it kicks out some serious BTUs

Very nice job! I would love to find one that size for a backup. Keep up the good work!

The old boy lives to fight another day. Bob would be proud.

Question: Where did you get 26 firebrick for $60? Cheapest place I can find is Northern Tool and they are $15 for 6 bricks and shipping is $20!

Ash bucket, did you try a local fireplace shop or masonry supply? Bricks about about 1.80 each at a yard.
Kuma, thats a nice deal. $300 to put that classic back into service is money well spent for folks looking to use that kind of stove. I was guessing it would be around that price. Glad to see folks still doing stove rebuilds. I think if or when I retire, refurbing older wood stoves would be a great way to pass the time.

Nice job, and since I also have that stove, I've put your website in my favorites!

Since we manufacture stoves, we buy the firebrick in pallets of 912 bricks. $15 for 6 bricks is close to the price each that we sell them.

For general information, most brick yards sell firebricks for around two dollars and fifty cents apiece. In my limited experience.

Bart, come to New York! I think we found something we can do cheaper than other states. Firebrick will put us back on the map!
