maple on the right? beech on the left..

What he said. Although the one on the left could be white oak. Bark looks a little dark though.

I think so too!

What type of beech?

Not sure about the smooth bark picture in the center, maple looks right to me. The other 2 definitely look like White Oak to me....

Only one I'm familiar with is American beech. White Oak and Beech....great score.

I see three pictures. The first and third look like White Oak based on the bark. The middle picture looks like American Beech. I don't know how to tell Blue Beech (Ironwood) from American Beech based only on the bark.

1 & 3 may be maple. 2 looks like beech.

Oh I didn't realize Blue beech was Ironwood (Carpinus caroliniana) - thanks Wood Duck. No definitely not that. By the leaves in the picture and the bark I wood say American beech.

I'm with Bubba. Looks like Maple - Beech - Maple to me.

There is a bunch left anyone in ct want some? Enfield is where its at all bigger pieces 2-6 ft long

I dunno what kind of beech it is but its twice as heavy as the white oak! 22 inch dia cut at 18 inches long takes 2 of us to get it in my truck ... the oak was heavy/ier than the red oak I got last week... but this was the first time I couldnt manage wood by myself.... even some of the smaller ones 18 dia were just to heavy...... wtf! Anyways picked up another load and the sh@t had my Titan scraping the ground and i Prolly coulda fit 5 or so more pieces.. wow! If there is more I will go back one more time .... I got to much wood for my neighbors... I am sure they will call the town soon

One more load to go! My wife is getting pis@@d at the amount of wood in the backyard.... gotta move this winters up so I can "hide " the wood

Also what kind of tree is this?

left: white oak
middle: my mouth is watering just looking at that beech.
right: white oak
leaf pic: beech

Wow! Beech! On my. Property might have to cut it down! Gotta be couple of cords!

Leaf pic . . . looks like beech. It could be elm . . . easy way to tell . . . with American elm the bottom of the leaf is hairy . . . beech will be smooth top and bottom. Also in the Fall/Winter the beech tree leafs will turn copper brown and most will stay attached to the tree until the Spring.

Funny you say that I curse that tree all the time cause some leaves do fall , but it still has a lot of brown leaves on it all winter long.... it seems like most of the leaves fall in the spring (march- April)

In that case I would say I'm 90% certain it is beech . . . having the tree retain most of the leaves until Spring is one of the sure signs to tell . . . older beech trees also have a distinctive bark -- kind of looks like a teen-ager with bad acne -- all pock marked.
