I don't have a Liberty, I have it's baby brother. The Endeavor will produce an overnight burn without trouble. I put a pipe damper in when I installed the stove but have never used it.

Liberty should give you 9-11 hrs from fire to coals on good hardwood as is.

Why the curiosity Rich? Looking for a 4th stove? ;-)

I bet your pipe damper may even extend your heat times.Do you ever think you'll try it and see ?

I was wondering when someone would ask that question and for that you get the prize as being a wide awake person. However I was recently up in New Hampshire's N.Conway area with wife taking in the beautiful foliage.Happen to check out a stove shop that had a Lopi Liberty burning away. The thing was kicking.I asked the saleman how was the stove at throwing heat with the fan off.He shut the fan down and the stove still emitted great heat which is meaningful in a power outage.I love my Blaze king king however just like one dealer said and I agree without the fan the stove doesn't project the heat that well. That's not good if we have power outages so I'm looking at stoves that can get the job done without the use of a fan.The liberty looks like it can my only concern is can I get overnight heat from the stove .If not I'll keep looking or maybe I'll put the King in the cellar and bring the Mansfield up stairs. Now that's a lot of moving, whew.
I'm selling the woodstock classic if anyone is interested.Used one season.

We have the Liberty (second year) and we don't have any problems waking up with hot coals in the morning, no pipe damper installed on ours.

Our wood is dryer this year which allows us to close down the air more giving us a longer burn time. I put in a piece of sugar maple east-west in the back of the Liberty then four splits north-south last night and woke up with hot coals seven hours later.

Which style Blaze King do you have? Isn't the Parlor and Classic models more of a radiant heater verses the convection Ultra? I think the side panels on the Ultra can be removed for more radiant heat which could be a good thing during power outages?

Last year I don't think my wood was good enough to need it. This year when it gets cold and the draft is crazy I'll probably need to give it a try.

I have the Classic. The dealer was truthful about the fan being needed to move the heat.Though the heat times can't be beat.I'll probably move the Mansfield up and the King to the basement.

Yo keep me posted on the pipe damper use, thanks.

I have a Liberty and have had no trouble with overnight burns, especially since I added 2' of class A chimney. I was concerned about making to much heat. My thermometer on the stove was up to 650* Friday night till I dampered down. I have had this stove for a year and am still learning it. I traded work for some 2yr old split oak that is 24" long. I am figuring out that with a channel swept through the ash down the middle I can get these long pieces to burn east west and last longer than north south wood. This stove keeps impressing me. All I need now is colder temps, it will cook us out of the house if I stoke to much when temps are in the 30's and 40's.

Last year (3rd winter using the stove) I felt like I actually had it dialed-in quite well. My usual method is to push all the hot coals to one side of the stove and then load lots of big splits N/S on the "dry" side of the stove, then throw a few over the coals, let it start to take off, and cut the air back. Now I can do 8 hours easy, even 10. Since I usually don't get to sleep a whole 8 hours, it works pretty well. Can't wait for the cold weather!

Hey folks thanks for your responses.Your accounts are very interesting. It makes me more interested in this stove. How do your stoves perform without the fan on ?
