There a very good 100% Oak pellet from a Hardwood Flooring Co. Nice heat and pretty clean burning. I have burned them for the last few seasons. Very consistent year after year. But don't take my word on it. Try a couple of bags. :)

My problem is I have to drive an hour and a part each way. I am planning on buying 2 or 3 tons when I go this week. The place I have ordered my stove has told me the same thing you did. I just wanted to be sure before buying them.. I have purchased the Enviro Omega and it should be here any day. Thanks

The Omega will love em! I always suggest trying but that stove will eat about anything.:) How much they getting for the Turmans your way?

Please post a picture of the stove when you get it going. :)

I'm a fan of the Turnman Pellets as well. Tried them last year, loved them. Bought 3 tons for this year. Burn hot, and had low ash.

I swaped with T Jakeman for 2 bags of turmans, and my stove loves the. Keeping the house nice and warm in todays little snow event.

How do Hamers compare to Turmans? I am able to purchase both where I get my pellets, I got 3 tons of Hamers back in May for $185 ton. I believe I could have also gotten the Turmans for a similar price. I really like the Hamers, very hot, just wondering if you guys think Turman is better or not.

I just ran 2 bags turmans to 2 bags Hammers. The hammers are shorter pellets, seem a bit denser, but I do get some chinker formations. The Turmans are longer, and I havnt had the chinkering. Both are plenty hot, and id say the Turmans may be a bit less ashy, but they are very close.

Thanks Iron Stove, I am happy with the Hamers, very hot, however I have notice lots of clinkers as well. I was also thinking of trying Barefoots as well. I will be needing another ton yet this year, maybe I will split the order between Barefoot and Turmans and try to decide for next year. :)

hamers are hotter turmans are cleaner both are very good pellets some of the best

This is our first time using Turman Pellets in our Harman Insert Stove. We are very pleased. They burn with the least ash of anything else we've burned in the past 7 years. I hadn't read anything about them before purchasing and was a little nervous. You should definitely try a bag. We are happy with them and will be using them for the rest of this heating season.

That is all i burn in both my Quads...they burn clean, nice flame, no clinkers. I have been using them for 4-5 years.

i burn turmans and my englander really likes them.. how much are you guys paying for them this year? i'm getting mine for $205/ton at a local stove shop

A local dealer near me wants $269/ton for Turman's. I can somewhat understand that since they come from "down south", but even the "local" brands like NEWP and Maine Woods are in the $239-$249 range. Something is wrong with this picture. I'm jealous.
