I have a 25 PVDC that I keep having to scoop out because the pot fills up with burned pellets. I scoop about 5-6 times a day. I have cleaned it, pulled the fans cleaned the exhaust pipes done everything I know to do except the leave blower because I dont have one. It dosnt matter what the setting is, I am back to the setting it was when it was new 1 3 1. Dont know what else to do Please help.

Is the burn pot full of partially burnt pellets burnt or do you mean ash?
Have you done a reset? Is the stove pre 2004?
1-3-1 is very low even if it isn`t the recommended factory settings.

new stoves come 4-6-1

Sure, but I don't think codes from year to year can be directly compared. The controller contains a microcontroller that can have different programming internally so the x-y-z settings from one year could have nothing to do with the next year.

I know of one 25-pvdc made in 2008 with rev13 controller that was factory set to mode "d" and 6-4-1.

When you say "new stoves". Do you mean 2011 or 2010 stoves?

Mine is a 2010 stove and is a D with 4-6-1 as the default....

I have tried every combo that I can do from 1 3 1 to 9 9 1 to 491 you name it. I have read that the factory setting was 4 6 1. But mine was 1 3 1 when we bought it new. Also have tried many diff. pellets the only change was the heat output. The tag say's it was built 9 06

Have you gone through the control board diagnostic on the Englander site, to confirm the board is good?

No I have not done the test. But looking at it, it looks like it just checks to see if the iteams are working. I know my fans and augers are running.

It also checks the heat sensor. If that's bad, the stove will not work properly. IMO, run the diagnostic just for the heck of it anyway. Then you can cross the control board off the list of possible problems.

If the settings were originally at 1-3-1 it`s anyone`s guess why. The heat mode setting could be screwed up as well.
Try doing a reset after you do the diagnostic check.
Unplug the stove for 5 seconds plug back in and immediately hold all 3 lower buttons in at the same time and then release. It`s tricky at first but a couple practice tries will help.
You should see a FS in the upper two windows. Reset the bottom 3 buttons to 6-4-1. Set the heat range to 6 and the fan to 6 or higher.
Unplug again for 5 sec and plug back in and immediately hold both the fan up/down buttons and release and in the left window you will see a letter a,b,c, or d. Change it to d using the arrows below if it isn`t already set there. Then press the on button.
This should be the correct initial programing if the stove is 2004 or newer.

Larry could you please describe your venting and confirm you have an OAK installed?

Ok I did the test and the reset, Heres what I found.

The test all checked out but I do have a question on the heat sensor. By the guide it showed in the PIC a reading of 8 4. Mine was 3 3 blinking to 3 4.

When I did the reset the letter was at A is that where it was set or is that where it started after the resest?

Will start back up and see if it helped.

Mine reads 8.4 too and all is well.
Holding down the up/down arrows both at the same time usually show where it is/was.
