One of our members from Israel sent me an update on his quest for a stove which could heat through the Sabbath day with no refueling!
He included a pic or two...of his solution which is nearly finished. I thought some members might enjoy reading about it....

Interesting and it sounds like the fellow learned a lot while doing. He'll enjoy that for many years.

Solved? They have been around for a long time.... http://www.blazeking.com/ :)

+1 And certainly better looking than a caveman. :)

Thanks Craig! FWIW, the stove in the link doesn't burn for 24 hours, but heats for 24 hours. It's a standard masonry stove that retains heat for 24 hours, so the owner doesn't have to reload it and violate his religious day of rest.

Since you want to get technical. it is not a masonry stove, it is a masonry heater.... ;-)

Gorgeous stone work. He did a very nice job.

Shalom shalom. Great job done!!! I never think of need to heat an Israeli home but sure it gets cold. Have always been there in spring to summer and man it is HOT. God Bless Israel.
