My local Lowe's in Charleston, WV packed up their remaining pellets and put them on the top rack for next winter! I guess they would get some down if you wanted to buy some. Obviously they are not too interested in dropping the price too low. I think the lowest price they went to was $4.40 per bag.
Our temps are in the 30's at night and 50-60's during the days. I only have 6 bags left and I think I am OK.
The local big box stores can't compete with a local supplier that has a regular price of Pennington Nature's Heat for $175 per ton and Statesman Hardwood Heat for $199 per ton. Even with a $35 delivery charge, they have the big box stores whipped.
