I stumbled across one of these at lowes today. About $38. The reviews seemed pretty good. Figure i would use it to help narrow down some problem air leaks and other areas of heat lose around the home.

Anyone here ever use this particular model?

yeah i bought one of those works great, for that purpose. i use it to monitor my custom ductwork too hehe!
 
Yes. I got a chance to try it today. This product performed way above my expectations. Great price too.
 
Us cord wood burners have been using them for years. To measure stove temps but also to find air leaks in the house. We call them infrared thermometers.
