Been rebuilding a 031 brought to me torn apart in a walmart bag..I was told it had no spark..

So I did points,WIMA and found the P&C to be bad so I replaced them with new rings but it still wont run...

I had been so busy trying to find out why there was no spark I over looked the obvious.... No fuel but why?????

No miss the fuel filter, wasnt you looking at spark? Oh and that is the worst fuel filter I have seen.

New fuel filter and line, take tank off and soak in a parts cleaner then flush with kersone and repeat till you get the gunk out. Then rinse it out with some gas a few times let dry and hopefully you can save the tank.

The fuel line looks clear.. I know to replace it but it looks ok....

I have been flushing it out with gas and it is slow but it is working....

I looks like sawdust cooked down in molasses......
