Its been a minute since I needed heating advice. I retired in 2008 to NC.
This year I'm back in NY the Syracuse area.
The home I bought has a 50s heatolater metal firebox placed in clay tile lined stone and bluestone.
I have a thelin pellet stoveid like to install.
I bought a ss liner for this stove.
Any thoughts on my plan?
Is this 26 year old stove a safe unit?
I ran it out side and it seems to function .
Is this 25 year old thelin worth installing .
It was in a storage shed that came with this house.
Thanks zogboy

If it is in good working condition and the innards aren't rusting out then it could be ok. Some people pull a stove after just a few years use and put it in storage during a remodel. If so, the stove has a lot of life left in it. Just inspect carefully for any defects. And put in a CO monitor along with the smoke detector.

Yes from a remodeling project.
This stove looks to be solid. I brushed and vacuumed .
I will need a pellet basket repair. Some air holes are burnt.
