According to this article dated February 9, 2018 "President Trump signed into law a budget deal that included a one year, retroactive extension of the wood heater tax credit".

Having purchased a Drolet Deco early last fall (2017). I decided to see if it might qualify for the tax credit? According to the following page it appears as though most current model Drolet wood stoves including my Deco do qualify.

Yes, it's retroactive for a 2017 purchase of a qualifying stove. Going forward, which is how the incentive is supposed to work is still TBD.

Yep I heard the same thing. I applied for this credit when I got my Englander 30NC, nice to get $300 back on the purchase of the stove!

When I bought my T5 last year (end of Dec 2016) my dealer never mentioned one thing about the tax credit. I filed an amendment on my taxes months later and got the $300 check about 6 months after that. It sounds like you're good to go for it.

Any news on this applying again for stoves bought in 2018?
