Cleared off today. Jet stream moved south.
To be clear & cold for the next few days:

Good wood cutting weather, just wish we had a few more hours of day light now.

A dusting on the truck last night.

That looks like some cool temps Dave. It is 49 ::Fon my back porch right now. I am going out to start moving the wood under my covered porch. I have a feeling my back is going to be sore tonight. ;lol I will mix it up a bit with the double wheeled wheel barrow and the lawn tractor with a cart behind it. I'd like to use the loader on the Kubota but the ground is soft from rain last night and I don't want to tear the yard all up. The little mutleys will track mud into the house everytime if I do.

I sure hope we get a real winter this year. I mean a REAL winter, I'd be happy to have a Nor 'Easter once every three weeks for the entire winter.

    Yeah, I'm serious too.

But Scott, what will that do to our apple crop? We didn't get any this summer but now they are in blossom again...

    Sure a pretty picture.
At least you have them, better lat than not at all ?
I think a real winter will help, apple trees have to have the cycle of cold to know what time to produce fruit.
Don't see may apple trees in Palm Springs ;)

    12° this AM. Clear.
9 hrs 20 min of daylight.
Time to bring in some better fire wood. The spruce is not quite enough BTUs for these temps.
    It burns up pretty fast.
I'll have to start burning birch now.

Todays projects, split wood & bring in a load of birch to the wood box
