We have our power outages in the summer pretty regularly around here. But this is a first for me! We had a bit of an ice storm overnight and our power popped at 630 this morning.
My boiler was done with its cycle, battery backup worked fine even though it wasn't needed and my tanks are 170+ top to bottom.
I may have to lug out the generator and invite the neighbors over soon. But for now I'm enjoying some camp coffee from the percolator and watching to see how warm the house stays from just the tank losses. So far I've lost 2 degrees house temp in just over two hours.
Anybody else in MI powerless?
