A waste

    We jus got back from vacation in Tennessee. We went to Cade's cove while there. There was a twister that went through a couple of years ago. There are massive amounts of trees down right next to the road. They just cleared road and left everything.

    I was wishing I could of had my saw, because I would have found a park ranger and ask about it.

    Yeah, in those severe weather events, the initial cleanup isn't pretty. Clear the roads enough to allow for emergency vehicles and unobstructed flow of traffic. No time for pretty cuts or chipping.

    I'm extremely careful when cutting that stuff because there can be lots of energy and unpredictability stored in those twisted trees. I'm curious as to what the ranger would have said.
