Adding Storage ia a Different Location

Storage now is 500 gallons next to the backup oil boiler in the house. EKO 40 is located 100 feet away in the boiler / tool shed. Building a garage soon across from the shed. Want to dedicate the entire shed to boiler, storage and wood. My question is, do I leave the tank in the house and add another 1000 gallons in the shed feeding the 500 in the house. Would this work ?

Mine is in the shed, I store 200 gals of DHW water in each house that I heat.
