    I don't know how you can get anything done with a 4 lb maul no matter how much they charge you for it.

    I read the specs' - Polyamide is Nylon an di don't belive the teflon coating will stay on forever.

    Get at least a 6 lb maul with a plastic handle. Touch up the edge on the grinding wheel once in a while and you'll be good.

    I can't remember when I got mine it's been so long but it's split a lot of wood with no problem. It was around $25, maybe $30 now. No reason to spend more than that.

    The wood won't know the difference.
