just scored about 3 cords, I doubt ant of you eastern guys have any idea but does anybody have any input on its fire worthiness?

Almond is supposed to be great firewood. High btus and low ash. Just be sure it's seasoned dry before burning. It's very dense so you may want to have some softwood to get a coal bed established first.

Yes they cut the trees out of the orchard after about 10 years or so or remove diseased trees and sell it off or sometimes give it away. Its a good deal, just a bit of a haul from the valley up to here.

Almond comes right after oak for desirability here in the valley. You will be very happy with how it burns.

Looks like it scores even higher in btus than oak.

Ill tell you this its some dense stuff. its been down and split for almost 2 years and is as heavy as oak from last year. going camping in a few weeks Ill give some a try then.
