Just got a used Amaizablaze model 1100/4100 made by nesco 10/06. It's a corn burner and was wondering what it would take to convert this to a pellet stove? Do you have to change the auger? Any idea on the fan being used?

Is there a place buy the kit cheaper than $375?

Thanks.

Why the need for a complete conversion to pellets? Corn is about $150 per ton and stoves made for corn seem to like staying that way. The air has to be slowed down as corn has a 200 or so degree higher ignition.

Corn here at the mill is $207. So far no farmers willing to sell less than 10 tons and I haul it away :(

Corn has made a major move up. Brazil having rain issues. Coffee has almost doubled in a couple weeks. Wish I had played that option. Well the weather has broke for the better. Hope to see the driveway after today. Going to burn some chicken on the grill tonight.
