    Question:

I've just had a marco 0 clearance woodburning fireplace installed, and intend to face it with marble, including the black metal front. what would you recommend using as an adhesive? some people are saying something called mastic

    Answer:

We use silicone caulk, which is rated higher temperature than most mastics, but check with teh marble supplier to make certain that it won't bleed though. Certain marble colors are translucent.
